How to answer that special somebody back to any school dance wtih jelly beans

These days, asking that special somebody to homecoming, prom, or just any school dance, has brought up a lot of new and creative ways to answer “yes” or “no” back. When I was a junior, I asked this kid name Matt to go to Sadies with me. A couple days later when I arrived to school one morning, I had this jar full of candy sitting in my locker, with a cute ribbon wrapped around the top, and a note taped on the side of the jar.

The note read “Jeni… your probably wondering why you have this huge jar of candy sitting in your locker. I know these jelly beans might look tasty, but there's just one problem. First, you must count all the jelly beans before you start eating them. Doing so will help you determine my answer for Sadie’s. If there is an EVEN amount of jelly beans in the jar, I would love to go Sadie’s with you… If there’s an ODD amount of jelly beans in the jar, sorry I can’t go I’ve already been asked, maybe next time….
